How is Tread different from TRUX?
Runs the fleet you already have
The TRUX Marketplace connects producers and contractors with third-party dump trucks when they need more capacity. Tread does not find you trucks. It runs the trucks you already have: your own drivers, owner-operators, and subcontracted haulers, all on one dispatch board.
AI reads the tickets
Both products replace paper load slips with digital records. Tread’s AI reads photos of printed and handwritten tickets, flags duplicates, and matches each ticket to its dispatch. Digital tickets arrive from WEM, Astec, and Command Alkon scale systems.
You pay your haulers directly
TRUX pays haulers for the marketplace work they complete for you. In Tread, approved tickets become customer invoices and hauler settlements that you pay directly, and invoices sync to QuickBooks Online or QuickBooks Desktop.

Can Tread replace TRUX?
For running your own fleet and subcontracted haulers, yes: orders, dispatch, driver app, tickets, approvals, invoicing, and hauler settlements. Tread does not run a marketplace, so it will not find you extra trucks. If you rely on TRUX for on-demand capacity, keep it.
Can we use TRUX and Tread together?
Yes. Many Tread customers do: TRUX for on-demand capacity, Tread for their own trucks and regular haulers.
How long does switching take?
Tread can be live in as little as a day, and self-onboarding is available. How fast the whole fleet rolls out depends on its size. Our team can load your data and train your people for you.
How is Tread priced?
Tread charges one annual price based on your estimated annual load volume. Every plan includes users and trucks, so adding a dispatcher, driver, or truck does not change the price. Implementation is a one-time $10,000 fee in year one.
Do drivers need a new app?
Not for every step. Drivers can accept a job by text message with no app. The Tread app on iOS or Android, in English, Spanish, and Punjabi, adds tickets, timesheets, and messaging with dispatch. Drivers do not pay for it. Users are included in your plan.
