What is dump truck dispatch software?

Dump truck dispatch software assigns trucks to hauling jobs, sends drivers their loads, and tracks each load until it is delivered. Tread also captures the scale ticket in the same system, checks it with AI, and turns approved loads into invoices and hauler settlements, so a dump truck operation runs from dispatch to billing without paper.

What it does

Dispatch, tickets, and billing on one load record

  • Dispatch every truck from one board

Put company trucks, owner-operators, and subcontracted haulers on the same board. Assign loads by drag and drop, click to assign, or in bulk, and send changes to drivers by app, text, or email. Dispatchers and drivers message each other inside Tread.

  • Track every load live

Follow trucks on one map with GPS from the Tread driver app or connected telematics. Geofences timestamp each arrival and departure at the pit and the job.

  • Capture tickets and timesheets at the truck

Drivers photograph the scale ticket in the app or send it by text. AI reads printed and handwritten tickets with 95%+ accuracy, reads timesheets too, checks tonnage and hours, flags duplicates, and matches each ticket to its dispatch. Foremen approve digital timesheets in the app.

  • Bill the loads you ran

Approved loads become customer invoices and driver or hauler settlements using the rates set on the project, with the ticket attached to every line.

Integrations

Works with the systems you already run

  • Scale systems

Digital tickets arrive from WEM, Astec, and Command Alkon and match to the right dispatch automatically.

  • Accounting

Invoices and billing data sync to QuickBooks Online or QuickBooks Desktop without re-entering loads. Sage 300, Vista, Foundation, and Spectrum get an export file.

  • Telematics

Truck locations come in from 50+ telematics providers, including Motive and Samsara.

  • The Tread driver app

Drivers without telematics use GPS from the Tread app on iOS or Android, with no extra hardware to install.

FAQ

Dump truck dispatch software questions

What is dump truck dispatch software?

Dump truck dispatch software assigns trucks to hauling jobs, sends drivers their loads, and tracks each load until it is delivered. Tread also captures the scale ticket for each load and turns approved loads into invoices and settlements.

How is dump truck software different from a freight TMS?

Freight software is built for a plan made once and then run. Dump truck work changes every morning, mixes your own trucks with subcontractors, and ties every load to a scale ticket. Tread is built for that: fast reassignment, one board for every truck, and the ticket attached to the load.

Can I dispatch owner-operators and subcontracted haulers?

Yes. Company trucks, owner-operators, and third-party haulers sit on the same board. Drivers who do not use the Tread app get assignments by text and can send ticket photos back the same way.

Which systems does Tread integrate with?

Tread receives digital scale tickets from WEM, Astec, and Command Alkon, syncs billing to QuickBooks Online and QuickBooks Desktop, exports billing files for Sage 300, Vista, Foundation, and Spectrum, and pulls truck locations from 50+ telematics providers, including Motive and Samsara.

How is Tread priced?

Tread charges one annual price based on the features you need and your estimated annual load volume. Plans start at $1,250 a month (billed annually); Enterprise pricing is custom. Users and trucks are included, and Tread can be live in as little as a day.

How long does it take to go live?

Tread can be live in as little as a day, and self-onboarding is available. How fast the whole fleet rolls out depends on its size. Our team can load your data and train your people for you.
