Best Dump Truck Dispatch Software in 2026
Six dump truck dispatch products, what each one is built for, and the questions that separate them. We make one of them, so every claim about the others comes from their own websites.

The best dump truck dispatch software for most bulk hauling operations is the one that puts your own trucks and your subcontractors on one board, captures the scale ticket with the load, and turns delivered loads into invoices without retyping. Tread, Toro TMS, and Dump Truck Dispatcher cover that full cycle in different ways. TRUX, FleetWatcher, and TruckIT start from a different job: finding trucks, tracking equipment, and digital tickets.
Tread makes one of the products below. Everything we say about the other five comes from each vendor’s own website as of September 2026, listed at the end. Where a vendor does not publish something, we say so instead of guessing.
How to choose
- One board for every truck. Can company trucks, owner-operators, and subcontracted haulers be dispatched from the same screen?
- A path for drivers who will not install an app. Owner-operators who work for you a week at a time need to get loads and send tickets by text.
- Tickets inside dispatch. The scale ticket should land on the load it came from, and the software should read it automatically.
- Tickets to invoices. Approved loads should become customer invoices and hauler settlements without another round of data entry.
- The systems you already run. Check your scale software, accounting system, and telematics against the vendor’s published integrations.
- Price and contract. Per truck, per load, or per month, and monthly or annual. Ask what happens to the price when you add trucks.
- What it does not do. Maintenance, DVIR, ELD, and a hauler marketplace are separate jobs, and no product on this list does all of them.

1. Tread
Tread is dump truck dispatch software with e-ticketing, built around construction materials such as aggregate, asphalt, and dirt, and it also supports grain and fertilizer. Company trucks, owner-operators, and third-party haulers sit on one dispatch board, with drag-and-drop, click-to-assign, bulk assignment, and many loads and cycles per dispatch. Drivers, dispatchers, foremen, and admins each have a native iOS and Android app, and drivers without the app get loads and send ticket photos by text. Dispatchers and drivers also message each other inside Tread.
AI reads scale and material tickets with 95%+ accuracy, reads timesheets too, checks tonnage and hours against the job, flags duplicates, and matches each ticket to its dispatch. Digital tickets arrive from WEM, Astec, and Command Alkon scale systems, and foremen approve digital timesheets in the app. Approved loads become invoices and driver or hauler settlements that sync to QuickBooks Online or QuickBooks Desktop. Truck locations come from the Tread app or 50+ telematics providers, including Motive and Samsara.
Pricing is one annual price based on estimated annual load volume, from $35,000 a year, with users and trucks included and a one-time $10,000 implementation. Tread can be live in as little as a day, and self-onboarding is available. Tread does not offer maintenance tracking, DVIR, native ELD, or a hauler marketplace today.
Best for: haulers running their own trucks alongside subcontractors, and producers and contractors who want to see the same trucks in real time.
2. Toro TMS
Toro TMS describes itself as a TMS built for the dispatching and back-office work of bulk hauling, across commodities from grain and fertilizer to aggregates. Dispatchers build, plan, and dispatch loads on a single screen, and dispatches reach drivers by text message. Drivers upload photos of tickets and BOLs, and invoices and driver pay are generated from that data. Toro lists Samsara, Omnitracs, and Geotab integrations, IFTA reporting, maintenance intervals, and driver document tracking.
Toro offers month-to-month contracts, a 2 to 3 week onboarding with in-person training, and does not publish prices. Best for: bulk carriers that want month-to-month terms or maintenance tracking inside the TMS. See Tread vs Toro TMS.
3. Dump Truck Dispatcher
Dump Truck Dispatcher is cloud software for aggregate haulers, aimed at companies moving off pencil and paper or spreadsheets. It covers quotes, orders, a color-coded schedule, a driver app that tracks acknowledgments, system-generated tickets matched against quarry submissions to catch lost tickets, batch invoicing, and a one-click QuickBooks export. It also lists a DOT compliance dashboard, vehicle maintenance, a customer portal, and a lease hauler portal.
Pricing is published: Basic at $100 a month for up to 5 trucks, Standard at $25 per truck per month, and Pro at $35 per truck per month, with a 10-truck minimum on the per-truck plans and annual prepayment. Best for: smaller haulers who want published per-truck pricing and maintenance in the same tool.
4. TRUX
TRUX started as a marketplace. TRUX Find connects contractors and producers with verified third-party dump truck haulers, and TRUX pays the haulers and sends a consolidated invoice. Around it, TRUX Manage handles dispatch and GPS tracking for employed and regular haulers, TRUX Deliver manages truck flow at plants, and TRUX Delivery Tracker lets customers follow loads and download e-tickets. Haulers use the TRUX Drive app to find and accept work.
Pricing is not published. Best for: contractors and producers that need on-demand truck capacity. Many operations use a marketplace for extra trucks and a dispatch system for the fleet they run themselves. See Tread vs TRUX.
5. FleetWatcher
FleetWatcher, now part of AlignOps, tracks equipment, trucks, and materials for paving and asphalt contractors, aggregate producers, and construction firms, and says plainly that it is not a trucking solution. It offers load cycle analysis, dispatch with two-way driver communication, e-ticketing integrations with Astec, Libra, Apex, and WEM, virtual shift tickets, fast timecard approval, and payroll exports. It also covers equipment diagnostics and DVIR with camera integration, and integrates with CMiC, Procore, Sage 300 CRE, and Viewpoint Vista.
Pricing is not published. Best for: paving contractors who need yellow-iron tracking and job costing more than dispatch-to-invoice for a hauling fleet. See Tread vs FleetWatcher.
6. TruckIT
TruckIT calls itself construction dispatch and e-ticketing software for bulk hauling. It digitizes paper tickets with AI OCR, produces GPS-verified digital tickets with signatures that connect scale houses, the field, and the office, and adds dispatch optimization, iOS and Android apps, reporting, payment automation, and material chain of custody. It serves contractors, haulers, producers, brokers, and transportation agencies, and lists integrations including Verizon Connect, Oracle NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics 365, Samsara, and QuickBooks.
Pricing is not published. Best for: contractors and agencies whose first requirement is a verified digital ticket trail across many parties.
The short version
Look at a marketplace to find trucks and an equipment platform to track paving equipment. To close the gap between the dispatch board, the scale ticket, and the invoice, pick one of the full-cycle products and run a real day through each demo: your truck list, your subcontractors, and a job that changed overnight.
