The driver allows location access and starts the job or log in Tread.
Capture the trip
The app records location during active work. Offline, it stores the data on the phone and syncs it when the connection returns.
Review mileage by jurisdiction
Open the IFTA report, check the jurisdiction breakdown for the tracked work, and use the totals in your filing preparation.

FAQ
Does app-based mileage capture require a separate GPS device?
No. This workflow uses GPS from the driver’s phone.
Does accepting an assignment by text start GPS capture?
No. For app-based tracking, the driver needs location permissions enabled and must start the job or log in the app.
Does it include mileage outside active app logging?
App-based mileage depends on the location data captured during active work. Do not assume trips outside that tracking period are included.
