Set the requirements
Define the document types you require, such as insurance or licenses. Choose who needs each one, whether it expires, and whether it gates dispatch.
Add the documents
Upload the files and enter expiration dates on the drivers, vendors, and equipment they belong to.
Check at assignment
When work is assigned, Tread checks the gated document types and shows any issues before the dispatcher proceeds.
Decide whether to proceed
Cancel the assignment to fix the issue, or choose Assign Anyway to acknowledge it and continue. Tread logs who did.

Does a missing document automatically prevent dispatch?
No. Dispatch Gating shows a warning and allows the dispatcher to proceed with Assign Anyway.
Can Tread warn us before a document expires?
Yes. Documents show as Expiring within 30 days of their expiration date. For gated document types, admins can receive an email warning through their Compliance Expiration Warning preference.
What happens if a document expires after a job is assigned?
The existing assignment is unchanged. Tread shows the document issue when the next assignment is made.
Can we track documents that do not expire?
Yes. Expiration tracking is a setting on each document type. Leave it off for documents that do not need an expiration date.
