This is the Privacy Policy of the Tread Technologies Inc (together with our affiliates and subsidiaries, “Tread”, “we”, “us”, “our” and terms of similar meaning) cloud-based supply chain visibility platform and APIs, any related mobile applications, and or our website located at www.tread.io (the “Platform”). It describes the information that we collect from individuals who use our Platform or visit our website (“Users”) as part of the normal operation of our Platform, and how we use and disclose this information.
By submitting your personal information, by registering or using the Platform, or by voluntarily interacting with us, you consent to our collection, use and disclosure of your personal information in accordance with this Privacy Policy, as revised from time to time.

We may make changes to this Privacy Policy from time to time, which will become immediately effective when published in a revised Privacy Policy posted on our website unless otherwise noted. Meaning of Personal Information
“Personal Information” means information about an identifiable individual as described under Canadian and United States privacy laws, which may include, but is not limited to, your name, e-mail address and telephone number. Under some privacy laws, Personal Information does not include any business contact information that is solely used to communicate with you in relation to your employment, business or profession, such as your name, position name or title, work address, work telephone number, or work e-mail address.
Personal Information also does not include information that has been anonymized or aggregated in such a way that there is no serious possibility it can be used to identify an individual, whether on its own or in combination with other information.

We collect, use and disclose your Personal Information with your consent or as permitted or required by Canadian and United States privacy laws. How we obtain your consent may be express or implied and will depend on the circumstances, as well as the sensitivity of the information collected. If you choose to provide Personal Information to us, we assume that you consent to the collection, use and disclosure of that Personal Information as outlined in this Privacy Policy.

How We Use Your Personal Information
We use Personal Information in the profile we maintain about you, and other information we obtain from your current and past activities on the Platform, to provide to you the services offered by the Platform; resolve service disputes; generate de-identified and aggregated data to conduct research and analysis related to our business, products and services; develop marketing materials; troubleshoot problems; measure consumer interest in our products and services, inform you about online and offline offers, products, services, events and updates; deliver information to you that, in some cases, is relevant to your interests, such as product news; customize your experience; detect and protect us against error, fraud and other criminal activity; enforce our Terms of Use and Services Agreement; provide you with system or administrative messages; to contact you (including by telephone) in the performance of our Services; and as otherwise described to you at the time of collection.
We may also use Personal Information about you to improve our marketing and promotional efforts, to analyze Platform usage, to improve our content and product offerings, and to customize the Platform’s content, layout, and services. These uses improve the Platform and better tailor it to meet your needs, so as to provide you with a smooth, efficient, safe and customized experience while using the Platform.

We may process, collect, use, and disclose information received through our website to pursue our legitimate business interests in keeping you updated on our services and products, respond to your queries, establish communication with you and your company, and to enhance user experience by analyzing your use of our website.
What Personal Information Do We Collect?
Our primary purpose in collecting Personal Information from you is to provide you with a safe, smooth, efficient, and customized experience. This allows us to provide services and features that most likely meet your needs, and to customize our service to make your experience safer and easier. We only collect Personal Information about you that we consider necessary for achieving this purpose.
We require you to provide various contact and identity information and other Personal Information as indicated on the relevant forms on the Platform. In addition, as you use the Platform, you can or are required from time to time to enter or send to us Personal Information. We may also collect credit card information for payment purposes – we may do this directly, or through third-party payment processors. You always have the option to not provide information by choosing not to become a User or by not using the particular feature of the Platform for which the information is being collected.
We also automatically track certain technical and device information and usage data about you based upon your behaviour on our Platform. We use this information to provide you with the Services, and to do internal research on our Users’ demographics, interests, and behaviour to better understand, protect and serve you and our community. This information may include your device information, your IP address and your location, and for vehicle operators may include information about the vehicle (including on-board diagnostic information), how and where it is driven and other telemetric data.
“Cookies” are small files placed on your computer or mobile device that assist us in providing our services. We use cookies to allow you to enter your password less frequently during a session, and we use data collection devices (such as Google Analytics), including cookies, on certain pages of the Platform to help analyze our web page flow, measure promotional effectiveness, and promote trust and safety, to offer certain features that are only available through the use of a cookie and to allow us to provide information that is targeted to your interests.

Also, if you enter information in the “Contact Us” section of our website, we collect your name, email address, phone number, company you represent and details of your inquiry to enable us to respond to a general/business inquiry made by you on behalf of your company.
Following your registration on the Platform, you can review and change your information in your account area. If you disclose Personal Information on the Platform and wish to have it removed, please contact us as set out in the “Questions?” section of this Privacy Policy.
Our Disclosure of Your Personal Information
The following describes some of the ways that your information may be disclosed in the normal scope of business to provide our services:
Anonymized Aggregated Data. We aggregate and anonymize data and use and disclose such information for a variety of purposes. However, in these situations, we do not disclose any information that could be used to identify any individual personally.
Public Areas of the Platform. All of your activities in the public areas of the Platform will be identifiable to your User ID, and other people can see your published content.
Subsidiaries and Affiliates; Service Providers. We may from time to time use the services of affiliates, subsidiaries and third-party service providers in the operation of the Platform, and may disclose Personal Information to them in the course of our use of their services. For example, we may use the services of third-party hosting companies to host the operation of the Platform. This may involve the hosting of data, including Personal Information, on servers operated by those hosting companies. We may also use service providers to perform research and analytics of the Platform, so to better monitor, support and optimize its use by you.
Tread Customers (Authorized Users Only). In cases where you use our Platform as an employee, contractor, or other authorized user of a Tread customer, we may share any information associated with your use of the Platform with the Tread customer, including, but not limited to, account information, usage information, files, and the contents of the communications associated with your account. Your Personal Information may also be subject to the Tread customer’s privacy policy. We are not responsible for the Tread customer’s processing of your Personal Information. Law and Harm; Jurisdictions. Additionally, we may use and disclose your information when we believe such use or disclosure is permitted, necessary or appropriate: (a) under applicable law, including laws outside your country of residence; (b) to comply with legal process, such as a court order or subpoena; (c) to respond to requests from public and government authorities, including public and government authorities outside your country of residence; (d) to enforce our policies or the terms of the agreements for our products and services; (e) to protect your, ours, or others’ rights, safety, operations or property; (f) to allow us to pursue available remedies or limit the damages that we may sustain; (g) to collect amounts owed to us; or (h) to assist with an investigation or prosecution of suspected or actual unauthorized or illegal activity.
Disclosure in the Event of Merger, Sale, or Other Asset Transfers. If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, bankruptcy, receivership, purchase or sale of assets, transition of service to another provider, or other similar corporate transaction, your Personal Information may be shared, sold, or transferred as part of such a transaction.

Do Not Track (“DNT”) is a privacy preference that Users can set in certain web browsers. Please note that we do not respond to or honor DNT signals or similar mechanisms transmitted by web browsers.
Opting Out of Marketing Email Communications
If you no longer want to receive marketing-related emails from us, you may opt out of receiving emails by clicking the “unsubscribe” link at the bottom of any email you receive from us. You may also opt out by contacting us directly using the contact information in the “Questions?” section below.
We will endeavour to respond to your opt-out request promptly, but we ask that you please allow us a reasonable time to process your request. Please note that if you opt-out from receiving marketing-related emails, we may still need to send you communications about your use of our products or services, or other matters.
Retention of Personal Information
We will use, disclose or retain your Personal Information only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which that Personal Information was collected and as permitted or required by applicable privacy laws.
If your Personal Information was collected in connection with your use of our products and services, upon request by you within thirty (30) days after the effective date of termination or expiration of the applicable term for such product or service, we will make any Personal Information related to those products or services for which such term has expired or been terminated, available to you. After such 30-day period, we will have no obligation to maintain, provide or make available such Personal Information, and we may thereafter delete or destroy all copies of the Personal Information in our systems or otherwise in its possession or control, unless legally prohibited from doing so.
International Transfer and Storage of Information
Your Personal Information may be stored and processed at our offices in Canada or at the offices of our third-party service provider, Amazon Web Services (AWS), in the United States. Other jurisdictions may have different data protection rules than Canada. While your Personal Information is outside of Canada, it is subject to the laws of the country in which it is located. Those laws may require disclosure of your Personal Information to authorities in that country. Accessing and Updating Your Personal Information
We expect you, from time to time, to supply us with updates to your Personal Information, when required. We will not routinely update your Personal Information, unless such a process is necessary.
You may make a written request to review any Personal Information about you that we have collected, used or disclosed, and we will provide you with any such Personal Information to the extent required by applicable laws. You may also challenge the accuracy or completeness of your Personal Information in our records. If you successfully demonstrate that your Personal Information in our records is inaccurate or incomplete, we will amend the Personal Information as required.
We may require that you provide sufficient identification to fulfill your request to access or correct your Personal Information. Any such identifying information will be used only for this purpose.
Providing Information to Third Parties
Except as otherwise expressly included in this Privacy Policy, this document only addresses the use and disclosure of information we collect from you. This Privacy Policy does not extend to any websites or products or services provided by third parties (each a “Third-Party Service”) and to the extent that you disclose your information to these Third-Party Services through the Platform, their or its use of said information may differ from ours. We do not assume responsibility for the privacy practices of such Third-Party Services, and we encourage you to review all Third-Party Services’ privacy policies prior to using Third-Party Services.
