Indiana DOT e‑ticketing requirements

INDOT accepts e-tickets but does not require them: Standard Specification 106.01(b)2 says a delivery ticket may be paper or electronic. INDOT stopped licensing HaulHub's EDOT portal effective June 30, 2026, per Construction Memorandum 26-04 (May 13, 2026). Contractors can still ask to use their own e-ticketing system if it meets the spec's requirements.
Optional: The contractor can choose e-tickets instead of paper tickets.

Data requirements
Tickets must show itemized quantity, delivery date, contract number, source of supply and source code, and data needed for basis of use (106.01(b)2); weight tickets add serial number, material designation, DMF/JMF for HMA, truck number, time weighed, gross, tare, net, moisture if applicable (109.01). An alternate e-ticketing system needs a user guide, real-time access on macOS, Windows, iOS, and Android, real-time delivery acknowledgment by INDOT, compiled PDF tickets and summaries by date and material, and download or email access. CM 26-04 says the real-time acknowledgment requirement will apply only to tickets that are the basis of payment, and the spec will be revised.
What contractors should do
- If you want to use e-tickets, request Engineer approval of your own system under 106.01(b)2, since INDOT's portal is no longer licensed.
- Confirm your system can compile tickets and daily summaries into PDF by date and material.
- For materials paid by delivered quantity, confirm INDOT staff can acknowledge each delivery in real time.
- Give the Engineer every delivery ticket by the next business day; undocumented material is not paid.
- Do not count on the $2.00 incentive under RSP 106-C-280 without confirming with INDOT, because the RSP requires delivery to MyDOTportal.
What haulers should do
- Expect paper tickets on most INDOT work; INDOT can demand paper at any time if e-tickets fail.
- Keep truck numbers on tickets; they are a required field.
